William Stephen Duthie, of Miramichi, passed away on Saturday, December 23, 2017, at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, at the age of 87.

He was the son of the late John and Marguerite (Smith) Duthie. He worked in construction before his retirement and was a member of St Samuel's Roman Catholic Church.

He is survived by two sisters Mary Whalen of Ontario, and Clara Daley of Miramichi; two brothers Patrick (Audrey) of Nelson and Frank (Barbara) of Miramichi; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers Alfred, George and Benedict. Sisters Kathleen and Josephine.

At the family's request, there will be no visitation. The funeral service will take place on Wednesday, December 27, 2017, at 2 pm, from Northumberland Funeral Home Chapel, with Father Paul LeBlanc officiating.

As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to a memorial of one's choice.
