William "Bill" John Narvey, of Eel Ground, passed away peacefully at Percy's Place on Thursday, June 18, 2026, at the age of 85.
Born in Red Bank, NB, he was the son of the late Irene Catherine Durelle-Manual and a foster son to the late Lilly and Mike Brisk. He worked as an RCMP and later retired from Atlantic Institution as a Correction Officer.
Throughout his 85 years, William enjoyed the simple things in life, such as fishing, campfires, family, gatherings, and telling funny stories about his life. He touched the lives of many with his humbleness, patience, and caring manner. He was a man with great integrity, and he was always there to offer a listening ear.
William shared a profound and enduring love with his wife, Carmel Francis. Their love was a guiding light, providing strength and warmth to those who witnessed it.
He is also survived by his six children, Lisa Narvey of Red Bank, Loretta Narvey of Red Bank, Patricia Dunnett (Jeff) of Trout Brook, Laurie Augustine (J.P.) of Red Bank, Cody Narvey (Kelly) of Eel Ground, and Adam Narvey (Kerrie) of Eel Ground; step-siblings, Harold, Edward, and Sandra; 30 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews; and his faithful companion, his dog, Gizmo.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his children, Noel Narvey, Noah Augustine and Jazmine Nicholas-Cloud; and his sister, Margaret Narvey.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to NP Andrea McCoy, Dr. McQuaid, and the Extramural nurses for their exceptional care. A special thank you also to Dr. Gerard Losier and Judy Losier, and all of the staff at Percy's Place, who gave our father a peaceful, comfortable sendoff.
In keeping with William's wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. A Celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to a memorial of one’s choice.
Funeral arrangements are in the care of Northumberland Funeral Home & Crematorium, 102 Pleasant St., telephone (506) 622-7741.
