Willard Jardine, of Quarryville, passed away on Friday, January 22, 2016, at the age of 77.

Born in Atholville, he was the son of the late Willard and Winnifred (Butler) Jardine. He worked as a woodsmen and also worked on several farms out west. He was a member of St Mark's United Church, Quarryville.

He will be sadly missed by his two daughters Shelley (Andrew Perry) of Sussex and Shawna Jardine of Fredericton; four sons Willard Jr. (Angela) of Parker Rd, Bliss (Terri-Lynn) of Sudbury,ON, Kirk (Heidi) of Sussex, and Jamie (Tara) of Edmonton,AB; five sisters Blanche Sutherland of Newcastle, Joyce (Nelson Jardine) of Upper Derby, Lillian (Wallace Donovan) of Upper Derby, Bernice Moody (Rodney Hooper) of Blackville, and Kim (Duane Donovan) of Renous; one brother Hubert (Donna) of Renous; one sister-in-law Ellen Jardine; nine grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his special friend Shirley Chapados; two brothers Edison and Wilson; and one sister Lois Hachey.

At Willard's request, there will be no visitation. A memorial service will take place on Saturday, February 6, 2016, at 2 pm, from Northumberland Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Wendell Gregan officiating.

In lieu of flowers, and due to allergies, donations may be made to St Mark's Cemetery Fund, Quarryville, or to a memorial of one's choice.
