  • Wendell Glazier Russell, husband of Lois (Clowater) of Doaktown, passed away on Wednesday, April 14, 2010, at the age of 77.

    Born in Doaktown, he was the son of the late Walter and Laura (Storey) Russell. He worked as a carpenter and welder, and attended the United Pentecostal Assembly, in McNamee.

    Besides his wife Lois, he is survived by two sons; Wendell (Doris) of Holtville, and Graham of Gray Rapids; one daughter Shelma of New Bandon; three sisters Elsie McCormick of Doaktown, Mildred (McKenzie) O’Donnell of New Bandon, and Lorenda (Ray) Betts of Doaktown; one brother Ronald (Jean) of Prince George, B.C.; six grandchildren John, Tanya, Tyler, Timothy, Mandy, Terri-Lynn; eight great grandchildren Avery, Jordyn, Jesse, Carter, Trista, Mikaila, Keaten, Breeanna; and several nieces and nephews.

    He was predeceased by his parents, infant son Erwin, and six brothers; Eugene, Buddy, Stanley, Kenneth, Gary, and Alonza Russell.

    The family will receive relatives and friends from McNamee Pentecostal Church on Saturday, April 17, 2010, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will be held on Sunday, April 18, 2010, at 2 pm, from McNamee Pentecostal Church, with Reverend Cole Price officiating.

    As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Diabetes Association, or to the United Pentecostal Assembly Cemetery Fund.
