Valerie Ward of Eel Ground passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on Monday March 31, 2008 at the age of 43.

Born in Miramichi she was the daughter of Thomas and Mary Jane (Simon) Ward. She was a home care worker and attended St. Joachim’s Roman Catholic Church in Eel Ground.

Besides her parents she is survived by Blair Gillespie; three sisters Veronica (Gary Warren), Sheila (Ray Breau) and Doreen Arsenault (Stephen Hill) all of Eel Ground; five brothers John (Nancy) of Miramichi, Miller, Gary, Jonathan (Cole) and Glen all of Eel Ground; God children Sam Paul and Maria Ward and several nieces and nephews.
