Thomas Gordon Brennan, of Blackville, passed away on Monday, March 28, 2016, at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, at the age of 82.
Born in Blissfield, he was the son of the late Leo and Gladys (Vickers) Brennan. Tom was a retired store owner having owned the business for 20 years. He was also a retired member of the Blackville Fire Department, with over 40 years of service, and a member of St Raphael's Roman Catholic Church, Blackville.
He will be sadly missed by his wife Lillian of Blackville; two daughters Nancy (Royden Donald) of Miramichi and Norma (Brock Curtis) of Blackville; Thomas Jr (Lisa Brennan) of Blackville, Todd (Lisa Brennan) of Hinton, AB, Jonathan (Shelley Brennan) of Blackville, and Jason (Mindi Schenkles) of Miramichi; one brother Edward Brennan; 14 grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by four sisters Iva Brennan, Dorothy Brennan, Janet Colford, and Mary Driscolle; and six brothers Daniel, Joseph, Murray, George, Roy, and Peter.
The family will receive relatives and friends from Father AA McKinnon Memorial Room, Blackville, on Wednesday, March 30, 2016, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, March 31, 2016, at 11 am, from St Raphael's Roman Catholic Church, with Father Okoko officiating.
As expression of sympathy, donations may be made to St Raphael's Roman Catholic Church or to the Blackville Volunteer Fire Department.
