  • It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Terence John Vickers of Fort McMurray, Alberta following an accident. His death occurred on January 12, 2018 at the University of Alberta Hospital in Edmonton while surrounded by family and friends.

Terence was born on January 9, 1977 in Newcastle, NB to the late Dale and late Jacqueline (McInnis) Vickers.
Following graduation from Blackville High School in 1996 he attended NBCC. After working at jobs in siliculture, then at the Blackville Lumber Mill and seismic testing he decided to make his home in Fort McMurray.

Terence was employed by Suncor Energy as a heavy equipment operator on the shovel in the mine. He was passionate about the Toronto Blue Jays – a lifetime true fan no matter where they stood in the standings.

He is lovely remembered and missed by his wife Trina Parsons of Fort McMurray, sister Faith Harold (Ron) of Edmonton and brother Chris of Saint John, NB. He is also survived and remembered by his mother-in-law, Marie Howse of Newfoundland, sisters-in-law Kandy (Scott) Curtis of Calgary and Krystal Parsons of Fort McMurray, He will forever be Uncle Dang to Fallon Vickers-Antle (Luke) of Edmonton and Uncle T to Lily Curtis of Calgary. His cat, Ella misses him. He also leaves behind aunts, uncles, cousins and a countless number of friends.

A celebration of life will take place at a later date in Alberta.
