Sylvain McLaughlin, of Eel Ground, passed away on Friday, December 21, 2012, at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, at the age of 73.

Sylvain is survived by five sons Lloyd (Jessica Maillet) of Eel Ground, Robert of Saint John, Johnny of Saint John, Pat of Eel Ground, and Sylvain Jr. of Eel Ground; one daughter Sylvia Doyle (Pat) of Saint John; one sister Sophia of Beaverbrook; five grandchildren Marissa, Aalorah, Justin, MacKenzie, and Shauna; many great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive relatives and friends from Northumberland Funeral Home, on Thursday, December 27, 2012, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will be held from Northumberland Funeral Home Chapel, on Friday, December 28, 2012, at 11 am with Father Tom Fowler officiating.

As expression of sympathy, donations may be made to a memorial of one's choice.
