Susan Avril (Ellis) Curtis, of Miramichi, passed away on Friday, April 27, 2018, at Mount Saint Joseph Nursing Home, at the age of 71.

Born in London, England, she was the daughter of the late John and Gladys (Wear) Ellis. She worked as an apartment manager before her retirement and was a member of St James Roman Catholic Church, in Sevogle.

She will be greatly missed by her husband David Curtis of Miramichi; her daughter Michelle of Edmonton, AB; two sons Dennis of Miramichi and Peter of Quebec; one brother John Ellis (Colleen) of Horseshoe Valley, Barrie, ON; seven grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive relatives and friends from Northumberland Funeral Home, on Sunday, April 29, 2018, from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, April 30, 2018, at 11 am, from St James Roman Catholic Church, in Sevogle, with Father Dan Melanson officiating.

As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to a memorial of one's choice.
