Shelly Katherine MacKinley, of Miramichi, passed away suddenly on Sunday, February 20, 2011, at the age of 45.

She was the daughter of Jack MacKinley and the late Elaine (Bryenton) MacKinley. She worked as a hair dresser and teacher's aid and was a member of St Peter's Anglican Church.

Shelly is survived by her companion John Martin of Miramichi; one son David of Derby; and three brothers Bruce (Geri Mahoney), Perry (Carol), and Kirk (Brenda William) all of Miramichi.

The family will receive relatives and friends from Northumberland Funeral Home, on Monday, February 21, 2011, from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 22, 2011, from Northumberland Funeral Home Chapel, at 11 am, with Reverend Richard Steeves officiating.

As expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, the Diabetes Association, or to a memorial of one's choice.
