Roxanne Helen Hudgins

Roxanne Helen (Asoyuf) Hudgins, of Miramichi, passed away peacefully, surrounded by those she loved most, at Percy's Place, on Thursday, August 14, 2025, at the age of 72.

Born in Miramichi, she was the daughter of the late Alden and Clara (Carroll) Asoyuf. She was a hairstylist at Evelyn's Beauty Salon for 11 years, after which she became a stay-at-home mother. Roxanne had a passion for interior design and decorating, and enjoyed helping many family and friends decorate their homes and Christmas trees. She enjoyed being outdoors and tending to her flower gardens, but above all, her biggest pride and joy was her daughter, Lesley, and her grandchildren, Claire and Michael.

She will be greatly missed by her husband of 52 years, Keith Hudgins of Miramichi; daughter, Lesley Wood (Chris) of Miramichi; grandchildren, Claire and Michael Wood; sisters Marlene (Late Gary Gillespie) of South Esk, Gloria (George Driscoll) of Miramichi, and Dianne (Eric Hamilton) of Miramichi; brothers Ronald (Edna) of Shediac, Charles (Sharon) of Miramichi, Gerry (Kerry) of Victoria, BC, and Gary of Miramichi; sister-in-law Geraldine Larsen (Glen Wetherston) of Miramichi; brothers-in-law Bernard Hudgins (Joan) of Fredericton, and Kevin Hudgins (Megan) of Miramichi; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother Richard Asoyuf and sister-in-law Donna Smith (Late Lloyd).

The family wishes to express sincere gratitude to Dr. Gerard Losier for the wonderful and compassionate care he provided Roxanne throughout the years. A special thank you as well to the amazing staff at Percy’s Place, Dr. Moses Rambaran and his wife Elaine, the staff of ICU, 2 West, and OPC at the Miramichi Regional Hospital.

In keeping with her wishes, there will be no visitation. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St Mary's Roman Catholic Church on Monday, August 18, 2025, at 11 am, with Father Cornelius officiating. Interment will take place in the church cemetery.
