Ronald Regan

Ronald James Regan, of Miramichi, passed away peacefully at Losier Hall, on Thursday, June 19, 2025, at the age of 80.

Born in Newcastle, he was the son of the late Charles and Anne (Young) Regan. Prior to retirement, he worked at Northumberland Co-op in shipping and receiving. He was an avid roller and ice skater, loved to play pool, read, do crosswords and listen to country music. He was an huge Elvis Presley fan, enjoyed attending many different music jams and spending time at Ritchie's Wharf. 

He will be greatly missed by his wife Doris (Hamilton) Regan of Miramichi; daughter Paula Sturgeon (Jason Hogan) of South Esk. He was a special and amazing grandfather to Taryn and Ashlee (Justin Bernard) and loving great-grandfather to Olivia Jaide and Kolson Myles whom he adored and cherished their visits. He also leaves behind his only remaining brother Fred (Joan) and many nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sisters Mary McGourty, Florence Matchett, Marjorie Gault, Katherine Whitty, Ann Marie Avery and brothers James, Arthur, Charles, and George "Buddy". 

A celebration of life will be held at Northumberland Funeral Home Chapel, on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at 3 pm, with Rev. Darel Tozer officiating. The family welcome all to stay for a gathering afterwards.

As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Heart & Stroke Foundation, or to the ICU at the Miramichi Regional Hospital.
