Robert (Bobby) Miles Corcoran, of Losier Hall, and formerly of South Nelson, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Wednesday, June 3, 2020, at the age of 90.
He was the son of the late James and Edna (Black) Corcoran and worked as a mechanic and millworker at REPAP Papermill until his retirement. He was a member of St Mark's Anglican Church, where he volunteered much of his time, and he also helped look after the community hall.
He will be greatly missed by his wife Mabel (Gorbett) Corcoran of South Nelson; his daughter Kim (Bernard McDonnell) of Nelson; his son Michael (Shannon Butler) of Chelmsford; one brother Ned (Betty) of South Nelson; granddaughter Kaitlin; two sisters-in-law Alberta Corcoran and Norma Corcoran; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by six sisters Helen (Bud) Matchett, Josephine (Joey) Deroche, Christina McInnes, Irene Campbell, Audrey Kennedy and Sylvia Somers; three brothers Everett (Buster), David, and Peter; brothers-in-law Carmen Matchett, Harold Deroche, Wilmont McInnes, Frank Campbell, Aloysius (Al) Kennedy, and David Somers; and one sister-in-law Doris Corcoran.
There will be a private family service held on Saturday, June 6, 2020, with Rev. Thomas Nesbitt officiating. Interment will take place in St Mark's Cemetery.
The family would like to thank Dr. Arthur Losier, the nurses, and the staff at Losier Hall for their compassion and care.
