Richard McKay

Richard "Ricky" McKay, of Boom Road, passed away at his residence on Thursday, October 16, 2025, at the age of 69.

Born in Miramichi, he was the son of the late Cecil and Inez (McLean) McKay. He worked as a heavy equipment operator and was a member of St Mary's Roman Catholic Church.

He will be greatly missed by his wife Kimberley Marshall of Boom Road; daughter Katie Marshall of Miramichi; son Patrick Marshall of Alberta; three sisters, Trudy Taylor (Terry) of Strathadam, Maureen Harris (Greg) of Trout Brook, and Donna Vezina (Late Florient) of Colorado; brother Ned McKay (Deanna) of Fredericton; granddaughter Kinsley Bell; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Freida Scott and brother, Bill McKay.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at 10 am, at St Mary's Roman Catholic Church, with Father Cornelius Ngurukwem officiating.

As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Miramichi SPCA, New Brunswick Lung Association, or to a memorial of one's choice.
