Richard "Rickey" Ernest Foran

Richard “Rickey” Ernest Foran passed away peacefully with family by his side on July 30, 2026, at the Miramichi Regional Hospital at the age of 71.

Born in Newcastle, he was the son of the late Douglas and Theresa (Estey) Foran. Rickey worked as a welder for Heath Steele Mines for 25 years, then with his wife Donna at Parks’ Dairy Bar.

He will be greatly missed by his wife, Donna Foran; children: Whitney Henderson (Darren) and Nicholas Foran (Naomi), all of Whitney; sisters, Patricia Baisley (Gerald), Helen Mullin (Ben), Dolores Hare (Norman) and Brenda Allain (Larry); brothers, Reginald Foran (Vaunda), Joseph “Sonny” Foran (Judy), Harry Foran (Late Joan), Blake Foran (Sandy); grandchildren, Rory, Gina, Rudy, Alexa, Bailey and Shea; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, Rickey is predeceased by his sister, Irene Hallihan; brothers, Robert “Bobby” Foran, Jeremiah “Jed” Foran and Claude Foran.

Visitation will take place at Northumberland Funeral Home on Monday, August 3rd, from 4 pm-8 pm. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 4th at Northumberland Funeral Home Chapel at 11 am with Father Peter Igwe officiating. Interment will take place at a later date.

As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to Miramichi SPCA, St. James Sevogle Church or St. James Sevogle Cemetery.
