Reginald "Reg" Maxwell Walls

Reginald “Reg” Walls passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 27, 2025 at the Miramichi Regional Hospital at the age of 88.

Born in Miramichi, NB he was the son of the late Harold and Louise (MacDonald) Walls and was employed as a production worker at Waterloo Spring Company in Waterloo, ON for many years. In later years he worked at the Blackville Lumber Mill.

He will be greatly missed his daughter: Brenda Booty (Kenneth R.) of Waterloo, ON, and son: Brian Walls (Deborah) of Kitchener, ON, as well as sisters: Sharon Gillespie (Gerald) of Blackville, NB, and Helen Astle (Harold) of Quarryville, NB, brothers: Keith Walls (Bernadette) of Blackville, NB, and Gordon Walls (Linda) of Lincoln, Maine, grandchildren: Keaton Walls and Abby Walls as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Reg is predeceased by his wife Eileen Lorraine (Sweeney) Walls, brothers: Frederick, Robert and Allan, sisters: Thelma (Judy) Walls and Jean Hetherington, sisters-in-law: Ruth Walls and Bernice Walls and brother-in-law Alvin Hetherington.

The family will welcome relatives and friends on Saturday, August 2, 2025, from 1pm to 3pm at St. Andrew’s United Church Hall in Blackville, NB. Funeral Service will be held at St. Andrew’s United Church at 4pm with Rev. Charlene Maguire MacKnight officiating. Interment will follow at St. Andrew’s United Church Cemetery in Blackville, NB.

The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to Dr. Gerard Losier, Dr. Champak Barua, Dr. Michelle Caissie, Dr. Moses Rambaran and the Nursing Staff for the exceptional care and professionalism extended to Reg during his hospitalization at Region 7 Hospital.

Donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, Diabetes or the Alzheimer’s Society of New Brunswick.
