Reginald John Daley, of Miramichi, passed away peacefully at Percy's Place on Sunday, July 12, 2026, at the age of 80.
Born in Barnaby River, NB, he was the son of the late Edward and Genevieve (Brennan) Daley.
Reg worked at Northumberland Coop for more than 40 years, which was more than just a career to him, it was a second family. His friendly and social nature created many lifelong friendships that he cherished deeply.
Reg’s love for his family was a constant source of strength and support. He was extremely proud of his children and grandchildren, always there with advice, a kind word, or a quick laugh. A parishioner of St Samuel’s church for many years, Reg’s deep faith in God was unwavering throughout his entire life.
He will be greatly missed by his children, Bradley Daley of Miramichi, Jason Daley of Halifax, NS, and Angela Rogers (Blair) of Fort McMurray; six sisters, Dolores Reid (Late Lorne) of Miramichi, Theresa Cormier (Late Boyd) of Bathurst, Edna McCarthy (Farrell) of Miramichi; Marilyn Geikie (Late David) of Halifax, NS, Carmel Hogan (Gerald) of Derby, Patricia Walsh (Late Charles) of Miramichi, and three brothers, Thomas Daley (Ann) of Semiwagan, Edward Daley Jr. (Late Josephine) of Miramichi, and Joseph Daley (Donna) of Miramichi; and two grandsons, Ethan and Elliott Rogers; and many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Reg was predeceased by his wife, Eleanor (Bohan) Daley; sisters, Mary Savoy (Late Jeffrey), and Geraldine Richard (Late Lawrence); and brother, Kenneth Daley (Patricia).
The family will receive relatives and friends at Northumberland Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, from 2 pm to 4 pm and 6 pm to 8 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, July 16, 2026, at 11 am, at St Samuel's Roman Catholic Church. Interment will take place in the church cemetery.
The family would like to thank the staff of Percy’s Place for their comforting, compassionate care during this difficult time.
