  • Ralph Hubert Campbell, of Caines River, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 17, 2022, at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, at the age of 82.

    Born in Keenans, he was the son of the late Henry and Dorothy (Stewart) Campbell. He worked as a truck driver and later on as a labourer with Repap Papermill and was also a guide on the Miramichi River. He loved to hunt, fish, take drives looking for deer and also enjoyed local jam sessions with his life friend Bernice.

    Ralph is survived by his son Quentin Campbell (Dana) of Gray Rapids; daughters Necia Nash (Timothy) of White Rapids and Kim Donovan (Duane) of Renous; sister Ruth Hack of Ontario; six grandchildren Evan Donovan, Brody Nash, Bronson Campbell, Nicole Nash, Noah Campbell, and Danaya Campbell; special friend Bernice Edgars of Losier Hall; and several nieces and nephews.

    Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers Harold Campbell, George Campbell, Arnold Campbell, and Lloyd Sturgeon.

    In keeping with his wishes, there will be no visitation. A funeral celebration will take place on Monday, June 13, 2022, at 2 pm, from Northumberland Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Stewart officiating. Interment will follow in St Andrew's United Church Cemetery, Blackville.

    As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, or to the Canadian Cancer Society.
