Phyllis Edna (Murray) Davidson passed away peacefully at home in Burnt Church on Thursday, April 30, 2026, at the age of 83.
Born in New Jersey, NB, she was the daughter of the late Curtis and Clara (Stymiest) Murray. She worked at the Moncton City Hospital as a ward aide for many years.
In faith, Phyllis was a member of Mountain View United Church in Moncton and, in recent years, attended Zion Presbyterian Church in New Jersey. Phyllis was an active volunteer with the Region 7 Hospital Auxiliary, volunteering many hours in the Palliative Care Unit. She was a lady who took pride in her community and was always willing to help with projects. She loved crafts and shared many gifts of handiwork with her family over the years, all made with love.
She will be greatly missed by her husband George Davidson of Burnt Church; her children, Steven Davidson (Sharon) of Stilesville, NB, Wendy Davidson-Peacock (Marvin) of Fredericton, NB, Lisa Davidson (Late John Flemming) of Taymouth, NB, and Jennifer Davidson of Stilesville, NB; sister, Elizabeth "Betty" Reade (Late Douglas) of Saint John, NB; brother, John Murray of Moncton, NB; grandchildren, Melanie, Michael, Madison, Cameron, Sydney, and Tyler; great grandchildren Charlotte and Olivia; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sisters, Ruth Duff, Thelma Hayward, Mildred Savoy, and Marie MacDonald, and her brother, Kenneth Murray.
Visitation will take place on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at Zion Presbyterian Church, from 6 pm to 8 pm. The funeral service will be held on Sunday, May 3, 2026, at 11 am at Zion Presbyterian Church, Burnt Church, with Rev. Phillip Penny officiating. Interment will take place in the church cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Extra Mural Program or to a memorial of one's choice.
