Peter Augusta Hare ,of 117 Dolan ave,Miramichi passed away on Tuesday January 7 at the Miramichi Regional Hospital at the age of 74

Born in Miramichi he was the son of the late Lawrence and Eva ( Matchett) Hare.

Peter was a baker by trade and operated his family run business, Rainbow Pastries, for many years. His passion was playing Bridge with the Duplicate Bridge Club where he was a Life Master.

Earlier in his life, Peter enjoyed bowling and had been considered to be a top rated bowler.

Peter is survived by one daughter Kyla,and her husband Roland Mazerolle of Miramichi, four sons Kevin and Terry,both of Miramichi,Dean of Fredericton, and Myles and his wife Janna of Moncton. four sisters Addie of Montreal,Pauline Tozer (Vernon) of Ontario,Karen Copp(John) of Miramichi,and Peggy MacIntosh (Roland) of Moncton., six grandchildren Lauren and Patrick Hare,Joelle Mazerolle,Lily Hare,Kurt Hare and Kevin Breau.

Besides his parents, Peter was predeceased by brothers Hughie and Lawrence (Larry) along with a sister Katrine Bryenton.

Instead of a wake and funeral, the family would like to welcome friends and relatives to an informal gathering in remembrance, on Sunday from 3-5 at Northumberland Funeral Home,102 Pleasant Street,Telephone 622-7741.
