Pat lived his first 12 years in Derby Junction where he spent a lot of time working in his fathers garage. It was here that he got his love of mechanics and cars which he would like to drive - the faster the better. Pat left school after graduation from grade 10 to start work at the pulp mill in Nelson, where he began his career as a power engineer. Although he started work early in life, he was a dedicated individual, and following his father profession, was employed as a Power Engineer in plants throughout Canada in; Saint John, Miramichi, Bathurst, Mactaquac, The Pas, and Terrace Bay, advancing to First Class Engineer along the way.

He is survived by his five brothers Danny (Melissa) of Miramichi, Kenny (Diane) of The Pas, MB, Steve (Cecile) of Kingston, ON, Roy (Mary-Lynn) of The Pas, MB, and Roger of The Pas, MB; three sisters Betty Ann (Kevin) DeMerchant of Miramichi, Trudy (Joe) Linscomb of Odem, Texas, and Linda (Sam, Jr) Matchett of Miramichi; sister-in-law Elizabeth Kelly of Miramichi; 13 nieces and nephews, six great nieces and nephews; and one great great nephew.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers Terry, Brian, and Guy.

Visitation will take place at Northumberland Funeral Home, on Thursday, January 12, 2017, from 7 to 9 pm. There will be no funeral service, however a celebration of Pat's life will be held at a later date.
