Patricia Esther (Colford) Duffy, of Mount Saint Joseph Nursing Home, and formerly of White Rapids, passed away on Friday, April 1, 2016, at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, at the age of 91.
Born in Miramichi, she was the daughter of the late William and Ella (Porter) Colford. She worked as a cook before her retirement and was a member of St Bridget's Roman Catholic Church and a past member of the C.W.L. Patricia loved spending time with her family and enjoyed playing bingo.
She will be sadly missed by her daughter Marie Parks of Miramichi; five sons Richard (Vivian) of South Esk, Ernie (Theresa) of White Rapids, Bernard (Maxine) of White Rapids, Willis (Patsy Stewart) of White Rapids, and Jeffery (Betty Basque) of Nelson; two sisters Doris McKeil of Boistown and Mary Colford of Kelly's Special Care Home; two brothers Basil Colford of Mount Saint Joseph Nursing Home and Gary Colford of Upper Blackville; 10 grandchildren Wendy, Gloria, Donna, Patty, Eldon, Tammy, Julie Ann, Beverly, Gifton, and Shawn; 14 great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother Ernie Colford, and two sisters Noreen Keenan and Marguerite Nash.
The family will receive relatives and friends from Father Murdock Memorial Room, Renous, on Sunday, April 3, 2016, from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, April 4, 2016, at 11 am, from St Bridget's Roman Catholic Church, with Monsignor Joseph Woods officiating.
As expression of sympathy, donations may be made to a memorial of one's choice.
