Norman Joseph Poirier, of Burnt Church, passed away on October 26, 2016 at the Tracadie Hospital in his 83rd year.

He was the son of Charles and Genevieve (McMahon) Poirier.

In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his son Ricky and sisters Hilda Carroll and Catherine Malley.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years Eva (Gautreau), sons Randy (Claudia), Robert (Bert Munn), Kenny (Carole Savoie) daughters Lois (Russell Tucker) and Lorraine (Jeff Urquhart) as well as his grandchildren, great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Resting at Northumberland Funeral Home with visitation Friday, October 28, 2016, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral service will be held from Holy Family Roman Catholic Church in Barryville on Saturday, October 29, 2016, at 11 a.m, with Father Anthony Dass Papu officiating.

As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to Holy Family Roman Catholic Church or Tabusintac Nursing Home where he resided since April.
