  • Neil Anthony Arseneault, of Miramichi, passed away on Wednesday, October 31, 2018, at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, at the age of 85.

    Born in Lagaceville, NB, he was the son of the late Manuel and Flora (McGraw) Arseneault.

    He was a truck driver before his retirement, and a member of Saint Mary's Roman Catholic Church.

    He will be greatly missed by his daughters Peggy Kennedy of Alberta and Nancy (Vaughn McAllister) of Miramichi; sons Danny (Margaret) of Miramichi, Eddy (Lisa) of Point-Aux-Carr, and Michael (Sherry) of Cornwall, ON; 12 grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Neil was the last surviving member of his immediate family.

    Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife Patricia (McLaughlin) Arseneault; his seven brothers Leo, Edmund, Henry, Simon, Stephen, Phil, and Clove; three sisters Celia, Bella, and Stella; and two granddaughters Pamela Arseneault and Candace Arseneault.

    At his request, there will be no visitation.

    A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 3, 2018, at 2:30 pm, from Northumberland Funeral Home Chapel, with Father Antonio Reyes officiating.

    Interment will take place in Saint Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Church Cemetery, in Bartibog.

    As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to a memorial of one's choice.
