It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Nancy Anne (Murray) Stewart, born on March 19, 1959, in Newcastle, NB.

Nancy was a loving wife, devoted mother, proud grandmother, cherished sister, and dear friend. Her family was the center of her world, and she dedicated her life to caring for and supporting those she loved. Her kindness, strength, and unwavering love touched the lives of everyone who knew her. Her gentle spirit, warm smile, and compassionate heart will be forever remembered by all who were blessed to know her.

Nancy leaves behind her beloved husband, Lloyd Stewart, with whom she shared a lifetime of love, partnership, and treasured memories.

She will be deeply missed by her daughters, Christina (Steve), Stephanie (Stephen), and Taraleigh, as well as her adored grandchildren, Haileigh Savoy and Eric Savoy, who brought immense joy to her life.

Nancy was predeceased by her parents, Helen (Murray) Hachey and Bliss Hachey of Chaplin Island Road, and by her cherished grandmother, Eva (Shea) Murray.

She is also survived by her sisters, Linda Whitney, Brenda Henderson (Robert), Eleanor Hachey (Rod), Judy Hachey, Dorothy Hachey (Jerry), and Margaret Nowlan (Chris); her cousin, who was like a sister, Lois Mitchell (Michael-John); and her brothers, David Hachey, Benny Hachey (Karen), Mike Hachey (Brenda), Kenny Hachey (Leah), Kevin Hachey (Wanda), and John Hachey (Joleen). She also leaves behind many treasured nieces and nephews.

Nancy will be forever loved, deeply missed, and never forgotten.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the palliative care nurses and doctors at the Horizon Health Network’s Miramichi Regional Hospital for the compassionate care and support they provided throughout Nancy’s courageous battle with cancer.

In honour of Nancy’s wishes, cremation has taken place, and a private ceremony will be held at a later date at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church.
