  • Mrs. Margaret Mary King, wife of the late Phillip King Sr., of 165 Alexander St, passed away on Sunday, October 25, 2009, at the Miramichi Hospital, at the age of 99.

    She was the daughter of Ella McCafferty and worked at the Gagnon Chocolate Factory, in St Stephen's, until she married Phillip and became a homemaker. She was a life member of St Mary's C.W.L and a member of the Canadian Legion Branch #10 Lady Auxiliary.

    Margaret Mary is survived by her daughter Ella Marie Richard (Robert) of Miramichi; granddaughter Lisa Esty(Glen) of Miramichi, grandsons Paul King of Ontario, and Jamie King of Prince George, BC; great grandchildren Matthew, Dylan, Jordan, and Michael; as well as several nieces and nephews.

    The family will receive relatives and friends at Northumberland Funeral Home, on Monday, October 26, 2009, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9, and Tuesday October 27, 2009, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 28, 2009, at 11 am, from St Mary's Roman Catholic Church, with Father Tom Fowler officiating.

    As expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Children's Wish Foundation, St Mary's Capital Campaign, or to e memorial of one's choice.
