  • Mrs. Betty Forrest of Mount Saint Joseph Nursing Home passed away at the Miramichi Hospital on Monday, May 7, 2007 at the age of 68.

    Born in Miramichi, she was the daughter of the late James and Ruby (Trevors) Murphy.

    She was a retired school teacher and attended St. James & St. John United Church in Miramichi.

    She is survived by two sons, Kevin (Carol) of Miramichi and Gary (Leah Savage) of Miramichi; two sisters, Mona Matthews (Fred) of Chatham and Jessie Howard of Chatham; two brothers, Randall (Rita) of Lower Newcastle and Bobby (Margaret) of Chatham; four grandchildren, Benjamin, Gillian, Joey and Lynn; and several nieces and nephews.

    Betty was predeceased by her husband, Everette and one sister, Alta Greenough.

    The family will receive relatives and friends at Northumberland Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 8, 2007 from 7 to 9pm and on Wednesday, May 9, 2007 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm.

    The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, May 10, 2007 at 11am at St. James and St. John United Church in Miramichi with Rev. John Fraser officiating.

    As expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Society or to a memorial of the donor's choice.
