Mr. William Duffy, husband of Theresa Duffy, of Miramichi, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, on Friday evening, at the age of 71.


William was the son of the late Ernest and Elizabeth (Howe) Duffy. Billy worked as a barber in Miramichi for many years.


He is survived by his wife Theresa; two daughters Margie Lawlor (Jimmy) of Red Bank, and Natalie Duffy (Peter) of Taintville; three sons Brent (Ann) of Calgary, Billy (Joan) of Calgary, and Mark of Calgary; three sisters Elizabeth of Saint John, Marg Lingley (Jim) of Lower Derby, Sherry Theriault (Dave) of Miramichi;one brother-in-law Herman Cortes of Nelson; one sister-in-law Barb Duffy of Fredericton; four grandchildren Chelsea, Jimmy, Ryan, and Billy; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by one son Gary; two sisters Jeannie, and Barb; one brother Alvin; and two brother-in-laws Joseph Cortes and Edward Kiervin.
