Joseph Edward Cando

Mr. Edward Cando, of the Tabusintac Nursing Home, formerly of Derby, husband of Dorcas Cando, passed away at the Tabusintac Nursing Home, on Saturday, at the age of 82.

Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Michael and Precilla (Asselin) Cando. He worked with the forestry until his retirement. He attended St Bridget’s Roman Catholic Church in Renous.

Besides his wife Dorcas, he is survived by two daughters Dorinda Glover (Robert) of Miramichi, and Janet Bolduc (Henri) of Sterling, Ontario; three sons Anthony of Derby, Rod (Gladys) of Miramichi, and Clarence of Alberta, ten grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. Besides his parents, he is predeceased by one brother Joseph, and one sister Evelyn Turcuato.


The family will receive relative and friends at Northumberland Funeral Home on Tuesday from 2-4, and 7-9. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 11am from the grace Presbyterian Church in Millerton, with Monsignor Joseph Woods officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Tabusintac Nursing Home, or to a memorial of ones choice.
