  • Mildred Ann (Stewart) Ginnish, of Eel Ground, passed away on Thursday, May 7, 2020, at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, at the age of 81.

    Born in Oakville, Connecticut, she was the daughter of the late Clyde and Yvonne (Richmond) Stewart. She worked as bank clerk and was also a homemaker.

    She will be greatly missed by her two sons Chief George Ginnish (Mary) and Layton Ginnish both of Eel Ground; daughter-in-law Colleen Newman; seven grandchildren Terry Ann Larry, Beverly O'Leary, Heidi Ginnish, Kayla Ginnish, Jonathan Ginnish, Shayna Ginnish, and Kayden Ginnish; three great grandchildren Piel and Serenity Ward, and Michael Paul; and several nieces and nephews.

    Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband George William Ginnish; her two sons Michael and Clifford; two sisters Lucille Montgomery and Alice Coe; and her brother Harold Stewart.

    A private family graveside service will take place at St Joachim's Roman Catholic Cemetery, Eel Ground.

    As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or to a memorial of one's choice.
