Michael "Mike" Anderson Mills

Michael "Mike" Anderson Mills, of Barnaby River, passed away at the Moncton City Hospital, on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at the age of 67 after a brief illness.
Born in Miramichi, he was the son of the late Anderson "Scully" and Grace (Curtis) Mills. He was a well-respected Parts Clerk on the river with over 45 years in the business. He was a member of Most Pure Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church, a proud contributor to the Barnaby River Homecoming committee, Past President of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 3 and a previous Chatham Town Councillor.
He will be greatly missed by his wife Donna (O'Donnell) Mills of Barnaby River; four children Todd MacDonald (Jan) of Miramichi, Tammy Craik (Vince) of Miramichi, Michael Mills (Lacey) of Moncton, and Brandi Pickering (Michael) of Toronto, ON; two sisters Mary Jayne Mills and Nancy Mills both of Miramichi; ten grandchildren Laura, Brayden, Logan, Jadon, Brennan, Jacob, Griffin, Anderson, Otis, and Cooper; great grandson Brooks; several nieces and nephews, his aunt Bettye Anne Davidson; and a large extended family of in-laws who loved him as a brother and friend.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sisters Audrey Mills and Susan Despres.
Visitation will take place at Northumberland Funeral Home on Sunday, January 7, 2024, from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, January 8, 2024, at 11 am, from Most Pure Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church, in Barnaby River, with Father Anthony Dass Papu officiating.
As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to Most Pure Heart of Mary Cemetery Fund or a memorial of one's choice.
