Michael Isaac Martin, of Eel Ground First Nation, passed away on Monday, January 23, 2017, at his residence, at the age of 59.

Born in Newcastle, he was the son of the late Michael and Mary Susan (Vicaire) Martin.

He will be greatly missed by his three sisters Joyce Sabattis (Mark) of Oromocto, Margaret Ward (Benny) of Eel Ground, and Karen Martin (Michael Burns) of Eel Ground; two brothers Joseph Chester Martin (Rita) and Richard Martin (Lucy) both of Eel Ground; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother Vincent Martin, and niece Cornelia.

The family will receive relatives and friends from Northumberland Funeral Home, on Thursday, January 26, 2017, from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 27, 2016, at 11 am, from St Mary's Roman Catholic Church, with Father Tom Fowler officiating.
