Marjorie led a life defined by her resilience, unwavering faith, and deep commitment to her family and community. She was actively involved in her community, particularly her church, Saint Marguerite Bourgeoys Parish (formerly known as St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church), where her spiritual journey provided immense strength and peace. Marjorie’s life was also marked by her dedication to helping others, as evidenced by her significant involvement with Al-Anon, Girl Guides, and Cursillo.
Alongside her husband, Marjorie was the owner and heart of Vautour’s Ultramar in Bridgetown for 34 years. Marjorie loved ‘the people’ and treasured the many conversations and relationships formed there. The establishment became more than just a workplace; it was a hub where she connected with people, forging many friendships that enriched her life.
Beyond her roles as a devoted wife and mother, Marjorie cherished her numerous friendships, which spanned decades, and embraced her passion for travel. She enjoyed countless road trips and camping adventures, even fulfilling a lifelong dream of driving across Canada. During the summer months, she found joy in sitting outside with her grandchildren, watching them play, or enjoying yard sales with family. Marjorie's home was always a welcoming place, filled with love and laughter. She enjoyed scrapbooking, card games, knitting, and gardening.
Though her journey had many side roads, both paved and rugged, Marjorie always knew she was never alone, guided by a higher power and surrounded by enduring love.
