  • Marjorie (Mitchell) Linkletter, wife of the late Gordon Linkletter, of Miramichi, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 5, 2022, at Losier Hall, at the age of 92.

Born in Newcastle, she was the daughter of the late Leo and Maisy (Farrah) Mitchell. Together with her husband, they owned Mitchell's Groceries. She was a member of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church. She also spent many years volunteering with the C.W.L., and was a member of the church choir.
For many years, Mom's day started early downstairs in the kitchen with her bible and red pen reading and studying God's word.
The rest of the day, she walked in the love of the Lord and showed unconditional love to everyone she met.
Mom had many names. She was Marjorie, Marj, Mom, Nannie Linkletter, Aunt Marj, Mrs Linkletter; most of all she was a good daughter, sister, wife, mother, caregiver, grandmother, great grandmother, neighbor, and friend.
She'll be missed by many and always remembered in the hearts of all those who had the priviledge to know her. Her beautiful, genuine smile to everyone she met will never be forgotten.

She will be greatly missed by her daughters Barbara Linkletter, Beverly Kenny (Tom) and Paula Burns (Paul) all of Miramichi; sons Thomas (Pam) of Miramichi and Mitchell (Shannon) of Matthew Settlement; 13 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Gordon Linkletter; grandson Kenton Linkletter; sister Victoria MacCallum; and brothers Vincent, John, Michael, and David.

All are welcome to attend a Mass of Christian Burial held on Wednesday, May 11, 2022, at 11 am, from St Mary's Roman Catholic Church.

As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to St Mary's Roman Catholic Cemetery or to a memorial of one's choice.
