Marilyn Elizabeth Anne Breau

April 24, 1948 — September 25, 2025

Marilyn Elizabeth Anne (Lemay) Breau, of Miramichi, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family, on Thursday, September 25, 2025, at the age of 77.

Born in Gravenhurst, Ontario, she was the daughter of the late Irwin and Frances Lemay. Marilyn dedicated her life to her family, always putting others before herself and creating a home filled with warmth, laughter and love. As a Mother, she was our greatest teacher, comforter and friend. She poured her heart into raising her children, offering endless encouragement, wise guidance and unconditional love. She never turned down a game of cards or dice! You could always be sure of some sage advice. She delighted in every milestone of her children and grandchildren, every success, big or small and providing comfort in times of challenge.

She will be greatly missed by her children Ronald Breau (Lucy) of Ontario, Rick Breau (Anna) of Ontario, Kerry Breau (Beth) of Ontario, Marion Breau (Ed) of Ontario, Dennise Breau of Miramichi , Tina Breau (Grant) of Ontario, and Joseph Breau (Carolyn) of Miramichi; as well as her sisters Arla Tannar, Linda Lemay, Susan Lemay and Christine Lemay. She was survived by 21 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Albert Breau; daughter, Sherry Breau; brothers, Randy Lemay, Micheal Lemay, and Steven Lemay; and sister, Shirley Lemay.

Special thank you to Carolyn, Karen and Tammy from Integrity Home Healthcare. Also, to all the wonderful nurses from Extra-Mural. Doing this for Mom would not have been possible without the love, compassion, dedication and support these ladies provided for Mom and the whole family.

In keeping with her wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Celebration of Life will take place in Ontario at a later date.

Funeral arrangements are in the care of Northumberland Funeral Home & Crematorium, 102 Pleasant St., telephone (506) 622-7741. Where your loved one never leaves our care.
