  • Margaret "Peggy" Lena (Mills) King, of Miramichi, passed away on Monday, February 16, 2015, at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, at the age of 64.

    Born in Newcastle, she was the daughter of Ruth (Crocker) and the late Archie Mills.

    Peggy was a life long learner, who loved people and absolutely adored children. She was a graduate of the New Brunswick Community College in St. Andrews and later became an ordained Minister in 2004. She went on to become a student of the University of Maine working on her degree in Theology before she became ill. She was always smiling and always had a special helpful heart with those she cared about and anyone in any type of distress.

    She will be sadly missed by her husband Ronald King; two daughters Valerie King of Warwick Road, and Vicki King of Halcomb; son Sabastian of Toronto,ON; two sisters Diane McKinley of South Esk, and Judy Adams of Miramichi; four grandchildren Stefani, Falytia, Jackson, and Austin; great granddaughter Hayzen; and several nieces and nephews.

    Besides her father, she was predeceased by her son Jason, and two brothers Archie and Kenneth.

    At the family's request, there will be no visitation. A celebration of Peggy's life will be held later in the spring.

    As expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Society, or to a memorial of one's choice.
