  • It is with great sadness, the family of Margaret "Margie" Anne Manderville announce her passing at Miramichi Regional Hospital, on Wednesday, March 21, 2018, after a courageous battle with cancer.

    The daughter of Doris (Trevors) Manderville and the late Jack Manderville, Margie was born in Miramichi (Newcastle) on November 4, 1962.

    A graduate of Miramichi Valley High School, Margie attended Université de Moncton for the one-year French Immersion Program before continuing to Oulton Business College. She was a valuable asset to the Department of Social Development, Province of New Brunswick, for over 30 years. She then advanced to the accounts payable department.

    Outside work, she enjoyed knitting and cross stitch and her projects are treasured by those who received them. She was an avid gardener and in case you wondered, she loved the color blue.

    In addition to her mother, Margie is survived by her brother Bob, his wife Dr. Shannon Bradley and precious nephew and niece, Evan and Lauren of Halifax, NS. She also leaves her partner, Leon "Lee" Munn; her step-daughter Gayle Munn; granddaughter Rachel Munn; and goddaughter Jessie Munn.

    The family will receive relatives and friends from Northumberland Funeral Home on Friday, March 23, 2018, from 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 24, 2018, at 11 am, from St Peter's Anglican Church, Millerton, with Father Gerry Laskey officiating and assisted by Rev. Robert Barry.

    In lieu of flowers, for those who wish, donations may be made in Margie's memory to St Peter's Anglican Church, Palliative Care Unit at Miramichi Regional Hospital, Hospice Miramichi, or to Miramichi SPCA.
