Lorraine Patles, of the Miramichi Senior Citizens Home, formerly of Eel Ground, passed away on Wednesday, February 6, 2013, at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, at the age of 60.

Born on June 5, 1952, she was the daughter of the late Weldon and Alice (McKay) Patles. Lorraine was a member of St Joachim's Roman Catholic Church and a volunteer with the Multiple Sclerosis Society.

She will be sadly missed by her daughter Michelle Patles (Bill) of Eel Ground; her son Jonathan (Angie) of Moose Jaw, SK; her two sisters Josie Trevors (James) and Patricia Patles, both of Eel Ground; her brother Freeman (Donna) of Eel Ground; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sister Judy, and five brothers Clarence, Eugene, John, Clayton, and Howard.

The family will receive relatives and friends from Northumberland Funeral Home on Thursday, February 7, 2013, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, February 8, 2013, at 4 pm, from St Joachim's Roman Catholic Church, with Father Tom Fowler officiating.

As expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, the Miramichi Senior Citizens Adult Day Program, or to a memorial of one's choice.
