Lloyd Bervil Kitchen, of Miramichi, NB, passed away peacefully at Miramichi Regional Hospital, on August 28, 2024, at the age of 84.
Born in Miramichi, he was the son of the late Willard and Mayme Kitchen. He was the owner of The Domino bar for many years, and also owned a construction company in Miramichi in which he built many of the affordable family homes in the Sweeney Lane area, of Newcastle. He and his wife, Della, were members of St. Andrew's Anglican Church, the place where his parents were married.
He will be greatly missed by his friend Bernice Savoie; sisters Carol Duncon of Ontario and Kay Prosser of Moncton; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife Della Kitchen; brothers William Kitchen and John Kitchen; and sisters Pearl Penny and Lillian Steeves.
In keeping with his wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Graveside burial will take place in Miramichi Cemetery on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, at 3 pm, with Rev. Thomas Nisbett officiating.
As expression of sympathy, donations may be made to a memorial of one’s choice.
