Leslie Christopher Hallihan

Leslie Christopher Hallihan of South Cains River passed away on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at the Saint John Regional Hospital, at the age of 68.

Born in South Cains River, NB, he was the son of the late Joseph and Mary (Burke) Hallihan. He was a fishing guide and worked in the woods prior to his retirement, and was a member of Saint Raphael's Roman Catholic Church, Blackville. 

He will be greatly missed by his son, Mason Warren (Lynette) of South Cains River; daughter, Lisa Storey (Stephen) of Blackville; his siblings, Laura of South Cains River, Glenna (Late Aloysius) of Blackville, Josephine (Lionel) of North Vancouver, BC, Murdock (Rose Mary) of Miramichi, Hughie  (Ruth) of Gray Rapids, Carl (Ruby) of Gray Rapids, Mary Ann (Late John) of Saint Stephen, and Danny (Gale) of Chelmsford; sister-in-law Kathy Hallihan of South Cains River; four grandchildren, Janson, Jerryka, Hailey, Heidi; five great grandchildren, Brenden, Alannah, Hunter, Lauren, and Tessa; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his spouse, Mary Louise "Lou" Warren, and his brother, Patrick.

Visitation will take place at St. Raphael's Roman Catholic Church in Blackville on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, from 2 pm to 4 pm and 7 pm to 9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, October 1, 2026, at 11 a.m. at St. Raphael's Roman Catholic Church, with Father Paul Doucet officiating. 

As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or to a memorial of one's choice.
