Leo Paul Amyotte, of Miramichi, passed away on Saturday, February 28, 2015, at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, at the age of 79.
Born in Fort-Coulonge, Quebec, he was the son of the late Elie and Cecile (Graveline) Amyotte. He was a mill worker as well as a carpenter before his retirement.
Paul will be sadly missed by his wife Ida; daughter Denise (William Murphy) of Barnaby River; son Jean-Paul (Paula) of Miramichi; two sisters Mariette (Robert) of Quebec, and Helene of Ottawa, ON; two brothers Jean-Guy (Jeannine) of Toronto,ON and Gaitan (Patricia) of Quebec; seven grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother Roger and sister Gisele.
The family will receive relatives and friends from Northumberland Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 3, 2015, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church, on Wednesday, March 4, 2015, at 11 am, with Father LeBlanc officitating.
As expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Canadian Parkinson's Society, or to a memorial of one's choice.
