  • It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, Nana, daughter, sister, sister-in-law, and friend, Laura Lee (Foran) Hare on Monday, May 16, 2022. She was 56 years old. She was surrounded by her loving family as she left the earth to begin her eternal life in the presence of her Lord and Saviour.

Laura was the daughter of the late Terrance Foran and Gail Culligan (late Dale) of Miramichi.

Laura leaves behind her husband of 37 years, Derrick. Her two wonderful sons, who she was so proud of Jordan (Kristin) of Simcoe, ON and Ryan (Ali) of South Esk. She was the best Nana to Jude, Sadie, Lincoln, Brooks, and Georgia Lee. Beloved sister to Debbie Emerson (John) of Chilliwack, BC, Christina Whitney (Lee) of Trout Brook, Lisa Vanderbeck (Billy) of Sunny Corner and Phillip Foran (Kim) of Black Falds, AB.

Lovingly remembered by her extended family, Mother-in-law Sandra Hare (late Bobby), brother-in-law Stephen Hare (Kathie), sisters-in-law Judy Lavergne (Andrew) and Lori Anne Russell (Kevin) and many nieces and nephews who she loved and who loved her in return.

Laura worked at the Boom Road Pentecostal Church for 29 years. She was a faithful servant and her heart was for helping others. She was an awesome cook and could often be found volunteering at the Salvation Army putting a meal on.

The family would like to say a special Thank You to Dr. Jill Watts, the Oncology Department and the Extra Mural for their care of Laura over the past year and a half. We appreciate everything that was done for her.

In Laura's memory, donations to Teen Challenge Canada or Servant's Heart Ministries (Hugs for Kids) would be appreciated by the family.

A celebration of life will be held at the Boom Road Pentecostal Church, on Friday, May 20, 2022, at 2 pm, with Pastor Jody Holmes officiating.

Funeral arrangements are in the care of Northumberland Funeral Home, 102 Pleasant St, telephone (506) 622-7741
