Joseph Kenneth Ward, of Eel Ground, passed away on Thursday, February 7, 2013, at the Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital, in Moncton, at the age of 56.

He was the son of Philomena Ward and the late Lemuel Ward. He worked as a labourer and was a member of Saint Joachim's Roman Catholic Church.

He will be sadly missed by his mother Philomena of Eel Ground; his daughter Amanda Warren of Maine, USA; his four sisters Betty (Ron Pfaefflin) of Connecticut, USA, Mary Simonson, Mabel Ward, and Helen Wakelin (Craig) all of Eel Ground; his two brothers Benedict Ward and Vincent Ward (Margaret) both of Eel Ground; his godchild Glen Ward; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides his father, he was predeceased by his two brothers Stephen and Burton.

Visitation will be held from Northumberland Funeral Home on Sunday, February 10, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, February 11, 2013, at 10 am, from Saint Joachim's Roman Catholic Church, with Father Tom Fowler officiating.

As expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada, Saint Joachim's Roman Catholic Church, or to a memorial of one's choice.
