It is with profound sadness that the family of Kenneth Roy Connors, of Boom Road, announces his passing on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at the Bathurst Hospital, at the age of 72.
Born in Boom Road, Kenneth was the son of the late Richard and Annie (Cain) Connors. He began his working life at C. Smith and Sons in 1974 before serving as a Forest Warden. He later pursued his true passion—long-haul trucking—where he spent many dedicated years on the road. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and enjoyed spending time outdoors.
Kenneth leaves behind his loving wife and best friend of 51 years, Claudia; his three children, Lorrie, Lisa (Chris MacDonald), and Bobby (Chrissy); and his cherished grandchildren—his “papa’s pride”—Mikayla (Mickey), Colby, Sadie, chosen granddaughter Tori, and his beloved fur baby Scotch.
He is also survived by his sisters Florence Donovan of Miramichi, Inez Metivier of London, Ruth Longtin of Montreal, and Marjorie Lefebvre of Sunny Corner, as well as his sister-in-law Theresa.
Kenneth will be deeply missed by his extended family, including brothers-in-law Arnott (Debbie) and Ted (Joan) of Sunny Corner; sisters-in-law Angela Porter (Myles) of Doaktown, Joanne McCallum (Eric) of Boundary Creek, and Melanie McCarthy (Bernard) of Nelson; and his mother-in-law Dorothea Nowlan of Chatham.
He was predeceased by his parents; his brothers Harold, Arthur, William, and Bobby; his sisters Dorothy, Edith, Anna, and Marion; and several brothers- and sisters-in-law.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to the staff of Bathurst Hospital for their care and compassion.
Forever loved. Forever remembered.
Visitation will take place at Northumberland Funeral Home, on Thursday, February 26, 2026 from 2 pm to 6 pm.
