Kathy Stewart

Kathy Stewart, of Miramichi, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, October 17, 2025.

Born in Miramichi, she was the daughter of Lloyd and Helen (McLaughlin) Stewart, and the owner of Islandview K9 Grooming.

She will be greatly missed by her parents; her son, Tanner Stewart; her grandchildren, Clark and Quinn Stewart, and their mother, Cherie Rice; her brother Alan Stewart (Karen); her niece and nephew Calleigh and Nathan, her extended family & friends, and her critters.

Kathy will be remembered for her compassion and her generosity towards others, especially her acts of kindness done behind the scenes. She loved her grandchildren immensely and had a passion for all animals, big or small.

The family would like to extend a huge thank you the staff at Extra Mural and Social Development for their excellent care and compassion. A special thank you to her close friends, hand-picked by Kathy, for their unwavering support and comfort.

In keeping with Kathy's wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service.

As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Miramichi SPCA in her memory.
