Juliette Cecile (Dumont) Munn, of Blackville, passed away peacefully at Percy's Place on Friday, May 1, 2026, at the age of 88.
Born in Quebec, she was the daughter of the late Lorette (Lagacé) and Léo Dumont, and stepdaughter of André D'Alessio. She was a retired school teacher, having taught for 31 years, and was a member of St Raphael's Roman Catholic Church in Blackville. She was also a member of the C.W.L., Ladies Auxiliary, and volunteered with Saint John Ambulance, Boy Scouts, the school breakfast program, and the reading program.
She will be greatly missed by her children, Darlene Munn (Ruth) of Alberta, David Munn (Corrie) of Blackville, Byron Munn of Blackville, Perry Munn (Tammy) of Blackville, and Shawn Munn of Alberta; sisters, Pauline Dumont and Denise Pauline both of Quebec; son-in-law Robert Colford; former daughter-in-law Charlene Munn; grandchildren, Ashley Munn, Jessica Mutch (Riley), Marc Munn (Abby), Coewan Munn (Brianna), Sophie Munn, Jonah Colford, Jordan Colford (Melissa), and Matthew Colford (Danielle); great grandchildren, Ethan, Addyson, Grayson, Christopher, Brady, Nellie, and Kenton; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Elmer Munn; daughter Susan (Munn) Colford; brothers Marcel, Raymond and Clement; and sisters Mary, Ghislaine, Giselle, Suzanne, and Marguerite.
The family will receive relatives and friends from St Raphael's Roman Catholic Church on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, from 2 pm to 4 pm and 6 pm to 8 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, May 7, 2026, at St Raphael's Roman Catholic Church at 11 am, with Father Paul Doucet officiating.
Please note that members of the Retired Teachers Association are asked to meet at the church at 10:30 am to form an honour guard.
As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to Kelly's Special Care Home or to Percy's Place.
