Judith Ann (Mollins) McDowell, of Miramichi, passed away peacefully at Percy's Place, on Wednesday, December 24, 2025, at the age of 73. She had been diagnosed with Cancer in Jan 2025.
Born in Sydney, Nova Scotia, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Helen (Campbell) Mollins. Judi was a retired teacher, employed 34 years, at James M. Hill Memorial High School, where she first met her husband, Ken. She loved working with students, socializing with friends, sewing, knitting, crafts, etc.
She will be greatly missed by her husband, Kenneth McDowell of Miramichi; her three children, Michael (Jennifer) of Calgary, AB, Lindsay (Andrew Manderson) of Fredericton, NB, and Chris (Tiffany) of West Chezzetcook, NS; four grandchildren, Aiden, Silas, David, and Edith; her three sisters, Terry Wilson (Stephen) of Woodstock, NB, Martha McLay of Halifax, NS, Wendy Lynn (Tim) of Ontario, her three brothers, Robert Mollins (Kathy) of NS, Bruce Mollins (Margaret) of Fall River, NS, Mark Woodhead (Donna) of Ontario; as well as several nieces and nephews;.
In keeping with her wishes, Judi chose to be cremated. A celebration of her life may be held at a later date.
As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Percy's Place, or to a memorial of one's choice.
