Joshua Andrew Peterson

Joshua Andrew Peterson, of White Rapids, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family, on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at the age of 40, after a courageous 3-year battle with lung cancer.

Josh was the son of Irene (Baglole) Peterson and the late Peter Peterson. Prior to his illness, he worked at the SuperStore and the fish plant.

He will be greatly missed by his mother, Irene Peterson of White Rapids; his sister, Treena Welsh (David) of Moncton, NB; nephews and niece, Seth, Adeline, and Ezra; his beloved cat, Percy; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Besides his father, he was predeceased by his infant sister, Megan Ann Peterson; maternal grandmother, Mary Baglole; paternal grandparents, Claude and Patricia Peterson; and his uncles, Edward “Ned” Williams and Clifton Peterson.

Visitation will be held at the White Rapids C.W.L. Hall, on Monday, July 13, 2026, from 6 pm to 8 pm and on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, from 2 pm to 4 pm and 6 pm to 8 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at 11 am, at St Bridget’s Roman Catholic Church, in Renous, with Father Sylvanus Omali officiating. Interment will take place in the church cemetery.

As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to a memorial of one’s choice.
