Josephine (Tenass) Francis, of Eel Ground, passed away on Monday, February 22, 2016, at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, at the age of 94.

Born in Eel Ground, she was the daughter of the late John and Margaret (Bernard) Tenass. She was a homemaker and a member of St Joachim's Roman Catholic Church.

She will be sadly missed by her four daughters Norma Francis of Eel ground, Jacqueline Kelly (David) of Eel Ground, Koreen (Clinton Gillis) of Eel Ground, and Maureen (Steve) of Alberta; three sons Karl Wayne Francis, Allan Francis, and Kevin Ward (Tracy) all of Eel Ground; one sister Dorothy Ward of Red Bank;20 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Phillip Francis; three daughters Margaret, Muriel, and Sharon; one son Colin; and one sister Alice Patles.

The family will receive relatives and friends from Northumberland Funeral Home, on Wednesday, February 24, 2016, from 7 to 9 pm, and on Thursday, February 25, 2016, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, February 26, 2016, at 10 am, from St Joachim's Roman Catholic Church, with Father Tom Fowler officiating.

As expression of sympathy, donations may be made to a memorial of one's choice.
