Joseph Gary Ward, of Eel Ground, passed away at his residence on Monday, February 17, 2014, at the age of 56.

Born in Eel Ground, he was the son of Mary Jane (Simon) Ward and the late Thomas Ward.

He will be sadly missed by his mother Mary Jane of Eel Ground; three sisters Doreen, Veronica (Gary Warren) and Sheila (Ray Breau) all of Eel Ground; four brothers Miller, John (Nancy), Glen, and Jonathan (Cole) all of Eel Ground; one godson Terrance (Terry) Vicaire; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides his father, Tom Ward, he was predeceased by his sister Valerie Ward.

The family will receive relatives and friends from Northumberland Funeral Home on Thursday, February 20, 2014, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, February 21, 2014, at 2 pm, from St Joachim's Roman Catholic Church, Eel Ground, with Father Tom Fowler officiating.

As expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Diabetes Association, or to St Joachim's Roman Catholic Church.
